Farmers' Market Desserts

I have fallen in love with a website called Leite's Culinaria - it's a food website that gives you more than you could ever ask for when it comes to the how, what, why questions on cooking and preparing. Even better, they have giveaways all.the.time. I love it! Most of the time they are for cookbooks which just thrills me. I love having a collection of different cookbooks to reference whenever I need to and I think they look pretty sitting in a row on top of our fridge. I look like I actually have a handle on cooking & baking.

Back to the giveaways - I have entered & entered & entered tons of their giveaways and never any luck on winning. Until this weekend when I received an email congratulating me on winning the Farmer's Market Dessert cookbook! I was thrilled and I cannot wait to see it in the mail and pour through it, finding something to test out.

As you can guess from the title it's about seasonal desserts, which is awesome. You can find something in here for each season, making it an instant classic in my opinion. From the editorial review: "Imaginative yet attainable riffs include a Tarte Tatin that emphasizes plums in lieu of apples, a Strawberries & Cream Cake Roll that reimagines Strawberry Shortcake, an impressive, mouthwatering Baked Apple Dumplings with Cinnamon Caramel, and a Persimmon Swirl Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust."
